Part 1
Costs, subsidy and savings
For residential consumers, the combined central and Bihar Government benefit is ₹40,000 for 1 kW, ₹80,000 for 2 kW and ₹98,000 for 3 kW or larger. The split is ₹30,000 + ₹10,000, ₹60,000 + ₹20,000, and ₹78,000 + ₹20,000 respectively. Apex Solar handles the applications, inspection and claims for you.
A quality 3 kW on-grid system typically costs ₹1.8–2.1 lakh before subsidy, depending on the panel and inverter brands. After the combined ₹98,000 central and Bihar Government benefit, the net cost works out to roughly ₹0.9–1.2 lakh. Call 9229616661 for an exact quote after a free survey.
A correctly sized on-grid system usually brings the bill down to the fixed charges alone — often a 90–95% reduction. Each kilowatt generates roughly 120–150 units a month in Bihar conditions.
Three to four years for most residential and commercial installations after subsidy. Everything after that is effectively free power for the remaining twenty years or more of the plant’s life.
We do not lend ourselves, but several banks offer solar loans at concessional rates under the PM Surya Ghar framework. We can prepare the quotation and technical documents your bank will ask for.
Part 2
System design and technology
On-grid connects to the DISCOM supply and exports surplus through a net meter — cheapest, and best for savings, but it shuts down during a power cut. Off-grid runs entirely on batteries with no grid connection, for places with no supply at all. Hybrid does both: it saves through net metering and keeps running on the battery during cuts.
Only if you want power during outages. A plain on-grid system is cheaper and saves more money, but by design it stops during a cut for the safety of line workers. If backup matters, a hybrid system gives you both.
About 80 square feet of completely shadow-free roof per kilowatt — so roughly 240 square feet for a 3 kW system. Water tanks, parapet walls and neighbouring buildings all cast shadows we account for during the survey.
Yes. A 3–5 kW on-grid system comfortably supports a 1.5-ton AC during daylight hours. Running an AC through a power cut needs a hybrid system with a substantial battery bank.
Generation drops but never stops. An on-grid system simply draws the shortfall from the grid, and the net meter offsets it against the units you exported on sunny days. Across a year it balances out — which is why we size against annual consumption, not a single month.
Panels are tested against hail impact and our structures are engineered for local wind loads. Monkeys are a real problem in parts of Bihar, and where they are we recommend edge guards and secured cable routing at the design stage.
Part 3
Installation and paperwork
Two to four working days for a typical home rooftop system once material reaches site. Larger commercial plants take one to three weeks depending on size.
No. We use chemical anchors with sealed penetrations, or ballasted structures where the roof cannot be drilled at all. Leak-free fixing is part of our handover checklist.
A net meter records both the units you import from the grid and the units you export to it, and bills you only on the difference. It is what turns surplus daytime generation into a credit on your bill. We handle the application and coordinate the installation with the DISCOM.
For a subsidy application: a recent electricity bill, the Aadhaar of the connection holder, a bank passbook or cancelled cheque, and a photograph of your roof. That is all.
For a normal residential rooftop within your sanctioned load, DISCOM feasibility approval is part of the net-metering process and we obtain it. Apartment buildings and housing societies usually need the society’s consent as well.
Part 4
After installation
Mainly panel cleaning — once a month through the dry dusty months, and after any long dry spell. Beyond that, an annual electrical health check on connectors, earthing and inverter settings.
25-year performance warranty on panels, five to ten years on the inverter depending on brand, and our own workmanship warranty on the structure and installation. You receive all warranty documents at handover.
Yes. We take on AMC for plants installed by anyone, starting with a full health check and a written report on what we find.
Within forty-eight hours anywhere in our service area. Common spares are stocked at our Darbhanga office rather than ordered in after the fault.
We file and chase the manufacturer claim on your behalf and fit the replacement. You do not deal with the manufacturer yourself.
